It is a condition of your booking that you will coming out with
us at entirely your own risk and accept that Pennine Guide Services or
any one working on their behalf will not be liable for any damage to your
person or property however caused. With this in mind if you are a visitor from
overseas we strongly recommend that you take out adequate travel insurance. It
is your responsibility to be in possession of a valid Environment Agency
fishing licence while fishing with us. These are available at any Post Office
or online via the web.
We expect the full agreed payment for our service at
the end of the each day in cash or cheque (made payable to the Guide in pounds sterling). In some cases
we may ask you to send a deposit to cover the costs of advanced permit
bookings.
In
order to respond to local conditions we reserve the right to cancel your trip
at short notice if in the opinion of your Guide the water or weather conditions
are or are becoming unsuitable or unsafe. In any such cases we will do our best
to save your day by offering a change of venue to you.
TIPS & RECOMMENDATIONS TO MAKE YOUR TRIP WITH US AS SAFE
AND ENJOYABLE AS POSSIBLE
Fishing can be a dangerous activity.

Keep clear of overhead power lines - fishing rods can
make excellent conductors; with this in mind also beware of electrical storms.

Wiels disease is transmitted in rat’s urine, never
put any item of tackle that has been in contact with the water or on the bank
in your mouth, also keep any open wounds covered with waterproof plasters.

Please wear EYE PROTECTION at all times and any LIFE
PRESERVER issued to you if fishing from a boat.

Wade slowly and carefully at all times taking great
care not to trip on uneven banks or riverbeds. Do not wade more deeply than
your confidence level permits – if in doubt back out
In general please behave appropriately to the prevailing
conditions and accept any guidance and instruction offered by your Guide.
The weather in the
It is also recommended that you bring along a change of
clothing in case you are unlucky enough to slip or fall in the water, with this
in mind if you are carrying a mobile phone or camera these are best kept in
plastic bags or specialist cases to prevent them getting wet.
Please make your Guide aware (if you feel it’s
necessary) of any medical conditions you may have such as epilepsy, a heart
condition, diabetes, serious allergies, etc
Lastly, fly-fishing is great fun and we are very much looking
