RIVER URE

The River Ure in the Yorkshire Dales is one of the premier freestone fly-fishing rivers in the UK. It has a good head of wild brown trout and grayling, which are very free rising. It is a freestone river and is set in spectacular surroundings, this is very private water and the permits are strictly controlled.

The water is a mix of runs, riffles and pools and is superb trout and grayling habitat, it provides excellent opportunities to learn and put into practice all the fly-fishing methods and tactics, both modern and traditional we use today. It is especially suited to fishing with traditional north county spiders.
