Following on from the unique and successful Entomology for Anglers courses with Andrew Dixon and myself in collaboration

These are “one day workshops” on the
river invertebrates & terrestrials insects that are the food source of
trout & grayling. They are specifically aimed at fly anglers. The courses
cover life cycles and basic identification with field collection of the larvae
and adult files. These natural flies are then linked to artificial flies which
we use to catch the fish. The cost of each course should be around £50 per
person.

Putting the “fly” back into your fly-fishing
Do you want to know how to collect and identify
the most important insects to the fly-fisherman?

hatch’ and fish the correct artificial fly to feeding fish?

in the beautiful county of Derbyshire.
The River Wye, I believe, is the finest
insect driven fly-fishing river in England. The insect populations and the
sheer diversity of species are simply breathtaking. As a consequence of this
rich food resource the trout fishing is of a very high quality.
For a one-to-one day of streamside
entomology combined with some guided practical fly-fishing on this wonderful
river, the cost is £178. If there are two of you, the cost is £115 per/person
(all costs are inclusive of the fishing fees and the loan of any equipment you
may need).

I have been taking photographs (35mm slides and now digital images) of
fly-fishing related insects and other general fishing slides for over 20 years.
Many of these have been used in books and magazines both in England and abroad.
