Stillwaters
Malham Tarn –
Malham
Tarn is one of only two “natural” lakes in the Yorkshire Dales. It covers some
150 acres and has a good stock of wild brown trout. The banks are part of a
nature reserve therefore the lake can only be fished from boats and there are only
four of these available. The setting of this lake is nothing short of
spectacular and if you are looking for a peaceful day with amazing scenery then
this is hard to beat not to mention big hard fighting wild brown trout. The
only draw back is that the lake is high up and very exposed so if you do decide
to fish here bring along an extra fleece!
It is a wonderful
place to fish “traditional loch style”, if you have not tried this and would
like to have a go I can supply all the tackle and expertise you need to enjoy a
memorable day.
SEASON: May 1st
to September 30th.
COSTS: £160 per day
The cost given is for one angler, for any
additional anglers please email
me.
